Ah, ok, I get it now. Your original instructions were to open the same form.

>What I was describing is a bug that I found in VFP 3 and continues to persist. If you open a code snippet and search on a text string with "All Objects" selected (this is *key*), it searches thru all snippets for the string. If it doesn't find it, it stops at the point you started searching. That's a given. Actually, for this exercise it doesn't matter if it finds the search string here or not. However...
>
>The error will appear if you close that form and immediately open another form where you know for certain that the string you had just searched on does not exist. Open a code snippet and do *NOT* hit Ctrl-F, rather hit Ctrl-G. An inifite look will ensue as the search text cannot be found and Fox (for whatever reason) cannot determine when to stop.

>I can duplicate this every time, so you should be able to replicate it, too.<s>
>I just find it interesting that the bug's been there in every Visual version.

>>>For those of you who are just not quite sure what the definition of "inifite loop" is, try the following "Visual" example:
>>>
>>>Modify any form. Next, modify any code snippet. Hit Ctrl-F to bring up find window. Type in text that you know won't be found. Check "all objects" and hit enter. Make sure you get "not found". If found, search on any other string.
>>>
>>>Close the form. Reopen the form and go to any code snippet. Hit Ctrl-G (NOT Ctrl-F). Hit Escape after you get the general idea of "infinite loop".<g>
>>
>>I don't understand. If I am following your directions correctly, nothing special happens to me. The second search goes through all methods and returns 'Not found'
