What does your machine open if you send a mailto document to ShellExecute?

mailto key. For example while using Netscape to browse clicking a mailto link fires up a Netscape mail window and not OE which is my default email client. So Netscape may totally internalize mailto without the registry entry. I don't have a machine without IE installed to verify this theory though.
