I've never understood why anyone would pay for dental insurance, although a lot of people seem to want it.
Unlike a quadruple bypass (my insurance paid for mine in 1988) with some notable exceptions dental care is cosmetic and not life-preserving.
It always seemed equivalent to getting barber insurance.
