That might have happened, but I never saw it.
As I said in my other post, I had a serious siege of hospitalizations in 1998 and the insurer covered all but the $5K deductible.
I know people who have been under treatment for the same illness for years and I've never heard of a cancellation.

Pre-existing conditions are another matter.
I haven't decided whether thaat feature made any sense or not.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
