I just don't like the idea of calling the American boat Oracle boat, just as I don't like being bombarded with corporate name every time I watch a golf shot on TV.

Sports and big money are a bad combination.
You can always find ways to persuade yourself that the additional money improves the sport.
I can only speak for my sport, golf - big money has hurt golf, big time.

Long ago it made its way back to high school sports.

Before the passed this rule, people would transfer to another school, play an important game, and then do the same at another school, ad nauseum.

It's inconceivable that there wasn't some sort of compensation.
