Dermot,
I was able to just recompile all the the FPW2.6 code and have it run under VFP5. The client didn't want any design changes so I just simply kept the SPRs intact. I had to change some 16-bit FLL calls to a 32bit DLL version. Other than that it was painless except for one window name I had to change because it conflicted with a VPF toolbar name.
>We are having problems with FPW2.6 application on fast pentiums. We have loaded the divide by zero patch and made modifications to slow down the popup lists as suggested in the ABRI internet site. Both of these have helped but we are still getting weird errors and records went missing from a data file. Is Foxpro 2.6 basically unstable on fast machines ? What is the quickest way to upgrade to Visual Fox and how successful is this ? We are is great need of advice on this so all help will be greatly appreciated.
