>If you think most of the problems are due to one IT company, you may just need to edumucate one person at that company, and your problems are over ;)
Unfortunately, I didn't get far with that company -- tried with some E-mail (indirectly through our customer) explaining the issue, about the issue -- I sent URLs to sites describing the process to testing for the issue. I did finally get a phone contact (through our customer) -- but the phone conversation quickly decayed into the person talking about the various certifications they've got (especially one from Microsoft), followed by grilling me about MY certifications (to which I claimed none) -- and basically got insulting tone of voice that I OBVOIUSLY didn't know what I was talking about, and the conversation didn't progress beyond that point.
