We have been and still using excel automation w/o no problems. It is better and much faster than alternatives. Using CopyFromRecordset has always worked successfully (even with 64 bits office - via VFPOLEDB saving to a stream and opening the stream in excel) - you may find many samples of my VFP2Excel routines on the internet I believe.
