I agree that is tricky if its neccesary. if it is, it depends if the grouping header needs to be part of the grid or not. If so, there are a few tricks you can do to fake it.

One is an overlay container over an artifical record. I've done that in the past (as an enhancement to david frankenbachs class) to simulate a highlighted row in VFP6.
A second is to have only one column where the displayed columns are just faked in a container displaying the column contents next to eachother.

There is an awfull lot you can do with grids. There even is a multiheader grid version available for download in her which would allow for modifying the header for additional functionality.


So again if the poster can express what functionality he is looking for, we can go from there.
