Does it help if you restart the SQL service?

Generally it rarely happens in production, but I cause it often when doing conversions, because I do a lot of deletes and inserts, repeatedly, often in megabytes (most of which is blank, but SQL doesn't care), and the memory SQL consumes just grows. It does a lot of magic, but its memory manipulation suffers in the process. Watch it in task manager when you restart the service... you may be surprised.
