Given the gap between desktop and web techs, web techs will inevitably change on a regular basis to catch up, until web app development becomes really productive.

IMO, and based on 20 years experience in Web Dev., there will be a day where server and client frameworks will have to cooperate somehow, or become coupled in some way.

FoxInCloud being all server-driven, client JavaScript is standard across applications, making all client-server interactions completely independent from the application.

I would think it's a reasonable base to start web app development with a desktop mind set; rather than deep diving into the 1k layers of current web techs; with exactly the same result in terms of response time, responsiveness, user comfort and functionalities; and no code to re-write; and no HTML/CSS to write; and no user state to maintain. Having a VFP-driven server is just not an issue.
