>>Hi,
>>
>>Up until a couple of hours ago, I was able to print from my computer to the wireless HP printer. I think it all started with the printer being jammed with paper. I cleared the paper jam but now I no longer can print. The PC says "cannot communicate with the printer"
>>I checked that the printer IP is 192.168.1.111. And on the PC I went to the HP utility that is designed to update the printer IP. I enter this IP and the HP utility says that it found the printer. I click on Save.
>>But then when I try to print, I get the error that the printer is not reachable again.
>>Strange thing that when I ping 192.168.1.111 the Reply comes from 192.168.1.113 (113 vs 111).
>>And then again, I reboot my printer and ping works.
>>
>>What could be wrong? TIA

>Perhaps there is something else on the network with that same IP address? Orsome needed ports are forwarded in a router to the wrong IP? -- just guesses on my part...
Another possibility is that the IP assigned to the printer has to be set in a property of the printer (not through HP utility but by simply going to the Windows Printers and selecting this printer). But I can't find any setting of IP in the printer properties. I am not sure it has to be there but I thought I saw it somewhere at one time. So far, I can ping the printer IP from my computer but when trying to print, it does not work.
