Well, I beg to differ. The other day my wife and my daughter ate a chocolate chip cookie in front of me. Since I have type 2 diabetes and really can't eat those, one could say that eating them in front of me was a crime :)

Also - I've never seen players volunteer to speak out against domestic violence and other crimes committed by NFL players (it usually takes a concerted effort by the league to come up with PSA broadcasts, like you saw from some of the league's marquee players after the Ray Rice incident). If players who are taking a knee during the anthem are really concerned, they'd start speaking out about some of the behavior of their fellow players. But you won't see that - it's just easier to rail against Trump because he called certain players SOBs. Yes, Trump was wrong for injecting himself in the manner he did, but I still say the player reaction here has been problematic.
