I lived in Las Vegas a few times for a while (thankfully not at the moment) -- and obviously lots of poker players there. One guy I worked with (a fellow programmer) always went to the casinos and played poker at tables with other players. He seemed to almost always come out ahead - no joke he left ahead like 85% of the time! He said the exact same thing -- it's all about who you're playing against more-so than the cards you're dealt.
