>Hi,

>Over many years I meticulously collect all photos that my wife and I took during vacations, holidays, family events, etc. I store all these photos on my computer. Of course I backup the drive. But for now only I have access to these photos. And since my doctor told me a shocking news that I will not live forever, I want to copy/place these files in the cloud. The purpose is so that the kids can see them, any time they want to (the kids are adults and don't live at home). Even now, we just came back from a Euro vacation and I copied tons of photos from my iPhone to my computer. But why not let kids see them now, if they want to.

Whatever you do make sure you don't have files in only one location, whether in the cloud or locally.

Another older category of solutions is file sync and share. For business use it's called Enterprise File Sync and Share (EFSS). With some of those there's no persistent cloud storage (so you don't pay for that). Instead you have a designated shared folder at each end. Either end can put files there and they'll automagically appear on the other end.

I don't use the Dropbox app but I understand it does something similar except with cloud folders (?)
