Hi

I have run apps on Intel Atom specifically the FitPC2 from Compulab. It has always worked well but not very speedy. 1gig of ram in my experience is really not enough and performance will suffer. In my case I have always had between 2 & 4 gigs of ram.

I have also run Linux on the same FitPC with PostgreSQL as a database server to a VFP application and it worked beautifully and no issues with speed. I should add that the VFP application only involved a couple of users. I suspect if the number of users was much higher the performance might not be as good.

What is worse, was there was an instance wherein a string of orders have been printed out by the receipt printer, but was missing in the database! (Only the Sales header was saved, the child details went missing).
