> Thanks for sending your thread my way. By the way, I've been looking through your thread that started back in October I believe. How has everything been going for you? I hope that you are having good fortune in reaching a decision. I don't know how things have turned out because I only started picking my way through what appears to be a large thread. Anyway, I hope to hear from you again with any extra advice you might be able to supply.

My original plan was to stay where I am and do a lot of learning on the side for about 5 years, then going independent. Since then, I've been having problems at work and don't fancy staying here that long. I have to stay for a while, because we're building a house and I need this income to qualify for the loan, but I plan on leaving soon after if we can swing it financially.

What I'm figuring on doing is finding part time subcontracting work that I can do while I'm still here. Then once we have the house loan I'll see about getting something full time and away I go.

Whether this will work or not, I have no idea. :) I haven't heard from one person I was supposed to work for in quite some time. And after scanning job postings for a week, I haven't found any telecommuting jobs for VFP at all, so that's not looking good for where I want to end up.

I'm not worrying yet, because I'm kinda busy until January, but I'm hoping to get started then. We'll see how it goes.

Good luck to you!

-Michelle
