>>FYI I read it a while back.

So why not rebut what it says rather than sailing on repeating the exact same mistakes analysed at length in the autopsy?

>>And in case you missed it then Dem's pretty much swept last nights elections so obviously something has changed... perhaps you'd like to comment on what you think that is.

I think these wins ought to be reassuring, but they don't prove an anti-Trump bascklash has begun or justify a return to the ridiculously optimistic extrapolation that took HRC down. Lets not forget that Virginia has been a DNC-leaning state for decades. The DNC claimed the last 3 presidential elections, 4 of the 5 last governors' elections and has 2 Virginia reps in Senate. So Virginia has joined the West Coast as a 24 carat blue state.

How does it affect government? My superficial examination finds 11 other GOP-held districts where HRC similarly won by 5 points or more. Extrapolate a matching sweep of those districts and it's not enough for the 24 seats needed to flip the House. The DNC needs to claim back districts that supported GOP.

More to the point, Virginia and the West Coast might like to read Machiavelli on the rewards for loyalty. Sometimes it's smarter not to be too loyal. ;-)

So as I said, reassuring but not an upset, and another recipe for loss if people start extrapolating landslide victory or comforting narratives.

Meanwhile lets hope it focuses the GOP more closely on policies today and their own political futures. The narrative of GOP sweeping the field is officially over so it's time to get cracking.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
