Fretting? Being spun like a top?

Reality check: another female premier just took her seat at the head of NZ government after single-handedly restoring public confidence in her party that had languished under a series of swamp dudes. When Trump called her to congratulate her, the First Cat (with its opposable thumbs) tried to sabotage the call, to his bemusement. You could not make this stuff up. Paddles (the cat) has since been run over and killed in her driveway in a genteel Auckland suburb. Were we in the US, Trump would be accused of animal atrocity and threatened with impeachment for causing the cat's death. Meanwhile a muslim refugee also now sits in NZ's parliament, can't remember whether there's a LGBGT MP again this time (not that anybody really cares) and the new PM has promised to cover 100% of University fees for your first year of study starting 2018, expanding to 3 years per student by 2022. I don't know and don't care what's happening about toilet gender though I much prefer a long urinal at a public event to queuing for stalls, and I'm very sure that Fa’afafine (cultural 3rd gender, physiological males brought up by family and behaving as females) have used the Ladies' facilities in NZ forever, without any fuss. The only alleged military atrocity involved possibly as many as 6 civilians in an Afghan town the NZ military says they weren't even in. Oh, and when the deputy Prime Minister announced that he will be seeking trade deals and cultural associations with Russia, he received a stern rebuke from the EU of all people. Next I suppose HRC will accuse him of collusion with commies.

Sounds smug? Sorry, not my intent. Behnd the soundbites there's a real possibility that her coalition including too many inexperienced idealists and a veteran firebrand, could implode messily. Which is why I'm not about to lecture the US about warmongering or its choice of premier. People in glasshouses and all that. You and Victor can go for it, though: he is your president and it is your military, so knock yourself out. I won't say a peep unless assertions are so absurd that it insults any audience to be subjected to such tripe. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
