Hi Dmitry,
How do you plan to have your clients access the application? How many clients? During a recent real-life DR we put TSClient on a !&1 box with 8GB, etc., and SQL Server. It looked like it might work for up to 10 clients -- we got out co-lo back up about 5 hours before switchover. Our test was with VMWare underneath (the new standard at 1&1). If you are using VFP tables, or perhaps if using PostGreSQL, you might get more clients on and still have sufficient performance. Having more than 3 clients per core (-1 for the OS) usually does not work out well, from our hosting experience. Our app is a very busy app, due to pretty near 4th Normal Form with a lot of tables, so the numbers I mention should be take as worst case.
