>What really amazed me about Toronto is the number of people that don't know how to drive in the snow, most of them driving Mercedes & Jags. I was coming up the 401 one time and it'd been snowing hard all day. To me it seems they always do an incredible job of clearing the roads up there, but in this case, it was snowing too hard to keep up. Anyway, I was doing about 45 (sorry about 80km) with four wheel drive on and a new Mercedes and a new Jag passed me on each side doing around I'd guess 120km or so. Both of them glared at me for holding up traffic. About a kilometer up the road or so, the Mercedes spun out and collided with the Jag, after I saw no one was hurt I almost had to pull over because I was laughing uncontrollably.

So, so true. And with more and more people moving out of the city to outlying towns and suburbs and now on the highways it amazes me how many can't drive period (dry, wet or snow).

I had almost an identicle scenario. Driving on the 400 in a snowstorm, the roads were all white with not a piece of ashvault to be seen. I'm doing 75-80kmh and this guy blows past me in a BMW doing at least 120-130kmh. I passed him about 4-5km (2 miles) later standing on the side of the highway mad as all hell on his cell phone with his BMW on its side in a ditch. He was ok but I just about had a fit laughing so hard.
