Is it possible that trying to understand why some many people made what you think is a ridiculous decision would be more enlightening?

I had a similar reaction after dimwit George beat John Kerry.
The dimwit had posted the worst record of any president in our history and he was easily re-elected.
I couldn't understand why so many people could be so wrong about something so obvious, until the truth finally set in...
