As you can hardly predict which PDF reader Internet Explorer or Edge will use to embed the PDF, you may want add a PDF reader OLEcontrol in your form instead, such as PDFxChange viewer (royalty free, included in FoxInCloud's base classes).

Attached is the "PDFxChange viewer" object model; unfortunately, I could not find a .search() method; maybe you could inquire further.

update: weird, the screenshot is attached but does not show up on my end…
