Over here the only article going beyond ridiculing cutting alternative minimum tax as a gift to himself was hesitant to condemn totally:
reintroducing double taxation via a new due (read no tax) for imports was perhaps going against WHO principles, but the total effect might be a better attempt to stop the current race to the bottom via tax loopholes.
As the senate proposal seems to allow foreign taxes to be recognized, high tax countries might be less slapped by this new due, bt estimates are hard as no clear calculation is possible.
In the coming age of more automation I see a need to try out new tax structures, but will not claim to know the formula
