>>Not true - it happened at least twice - , including the 5.2 percent in the third quarter of 2014, and don't forget he he Great Recession had jacked up the whole economy before he got there.

>I will go back and find the links for it - but I am almost certain that Q3 2014 number was artificial because the reporting intentionally took ACA $$$ from out of earlier in the year (when the GDP was already bad and they could blame it on the so-called polar vortex) and pushed them into later in the year. Several sources cited this.

>What is compelling about Q3 2017 is that investments are up. Say what you will about Trump, but right now people are more optimistic about the future. I still do not believe Trump is a consistent advocate of the free-market, but JR is correct that his dismantling of onerous regulations have some businesses more optimistic about the future.

No - people with huge sums of money to invest are optimistic about the future. And many of those things that are being dismantled were put in place to keep things like the Great Recession from happening again....recall how optimistic everyone one was right up till that happened? Those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it - so here we go again.

There is no way you can be happy with Trump administration canceling hundreds of Obama-era regulations - you perhaps are not aware of all that has been undone.

Care about the planet?

..and here is a small list to look at:

You think that just because companies can toss toxic waste in rivers that this is somehow going to help the poor and middle class?
