There were always some that had to stop by the teachers desk to get the quarter that "their parents had left for them" but they ate. Same thing with Savings Stamp Day every kid had at least a dime to buy a stamp. No federal programs that sucked up 60% of the money in "administration". Remember too that I grew up on the "wrong side of the tracks" - you know Jacksonville downtown, North East Springfield, Brentwood Park Project, Panama Park kids.

You clearly do not understand the word "socialism" because you're attempting to say these socialist things are not socialist. That is not an uncommon problem in the USA so I'll let you slide on that and just tell you that you need to learn something about it.
