>>>>>> If Trump fails I would certainly consider a democrat but right now the line up looks pretty slim.
>>>>
>>>>Actually Trump's "successes" like the tax bill are exactly what the Dem's needed.
>>>>For the right candidate, the tax bill puts a huge target on the back of every repub in congress.
>>>>A few more like that and this will the best thing that happened to the dems since Watergate.
>>>>The health care provisions make a single payer system almost inevitable.
>>>>The real problem for the dem's is leadership.
>>>>Except for Bernie, there's no one who's in touch with real people.
>>>>We have to hope that the tax bill will surface some people who can lead on issues that mean something.
>>>>We've had enough about gropes and wedding cakes.
>>>
>>>I admit that I am inclined to "vote my pocketbook". For me it looks like the tax bill means I pay $2000 less in taxes.
>>
>>>As for the health insurance I think the ACA is intergenerational theft - just another government Ponzi scheme.
>>
>>Factually incorrect of course.
>
>Let's see now- Young healthy people pay high insurance premiums to pay health bills for older people who didn't put up the money when they were young and healthy. What do you call that?!

Insurance. ...and if you have the mandate you keep the problem from repeating ...duhh!

>>>Personally the only thing the ACA has done for me is for my wife to "keep your doctor" she now has to pay $1650 a year to join some kind of network.
>>
>>>As for Bernie, he is a socialist and I am definitely not.
>>
>>Please learn difference between democratic socialist (which is what Bernie is) and socialist. And I'd bet you're more of a socialist than you think - unless your against social security, highways and roads, libraries, police, fire dept, postal service, the EPA, public schools, public parks, food stamps, Medicare, free lunch programs for kids, the FDA, SSDI, public buses, the CDC, government scholarships, the national weather service,...etc etc etc I could go on forever. You benefit from many of these government-run, taxpayer funded socialist programs, agencies, and laws. Newsflash - we're already socialist and so are you.
>
>Some like the post office are provided for in the Constitution but most are not.
>I draw social security but only because it was forced on me. Compare the benefits that the 6-8% of the US population that got out from SS and SSDI have with their alternate plans and those under SS and SSDI. Whole states like those bastions of conservatism Oregon and Colorado tried to get out but were prevented by the 1983 law.
>Libraries, police, fire departments, schools and buses - state or local.
>Interstates - federal others state or local
>FDA state - unless impact is on other states
>free lunch programs - When I was growing up there were no free lunch programs but I never knew of any kid that didn't eat. There were always some that had to stop by the teachers desk to get the quarter that "their parents had left for them" but they ate. Same thing with Savings Stamp Day every kid had at least a dime to buy a stamp. No federal programs that sucked up 60% of the money in "administration". Remember too that I grew up on the "wrong side of the tracks" - you know Jacksonville downtown, North East Springfield, Brentwood Park Project, Panama Park kids.

You clearly do not understand the word "socialism" because you're attempting to say these socialist things are not socialist. That is not an uncommon problem in the USA so I'll let you slide on that and just tell you that you need to learn something about it.
