As someone who will be dealing with this for the rest of my life, I have mixed feelings.
My diet and lifestyle went out of control. I dropped 52 lbs and am in much better condition. But Type 2 runs in my family and I'll likely be taking metformin for the rest of my life. Even back in the spring when I dropped 20 lbs and had cut out some carbs and most sugar, my glucose was still dangerously high.
