>>>Actually Trump's "successes" like the tax bill are exactly what the Dem's needed.

>After previous comments I went and checked it out.

>Biggest % tax breaks for the middle classes. Biggest $ benefit goes to the 1%, though only because 1% of $1M is more than 50% of $100.

>Seems to me that many families end up with zero tax obligations or even a credit once everything else is imputed.

>The biggest objection I see is that some of the balancing features are temporary, expiring in 2025. A lot of the criticism seems predicated on the belief that that's a fixed end date. In real life, most temporary measures are extended in some forn. As an example, the Bush tax breaks were extended by Obama, but only for those earning below a threshold. IOW not for the rich who instead received an additional higher tax towards the ACA.

>The other objection is the deficit. However, CBO has been wrong more often than it is right and if it's underestimated economic growth under Trump, the figures are meaningless.

People don't spend percentages, they spend money.
Once we get the word out that the CEO of Goldman Sachs will pay millions less in tax, the repubs will be toast.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
