Perhaps - - as to not enter the area of negligence or recklessness if he wants to claim compensation well above the norm.
Probably only to be decided by examples or a case-2-case decision. If a pianist goes outside for a scuffle, IMO damages during the fight to his future income are void. If he is beaten senseless and the other then maims his hands, probably not.
Such a guy probably had his hands insured and some rules of behaviour agreed to for insurance to be valid. Going outside such an envelope might be a hint that claims might be reduced. But I don't see a need to carry a sign saying hit me in the mouth or genitals, but not eyes, brain or hands whenever going out ;-)
Barehanded shark feeding should be ruled out as well...
