>>If that's the case, he'd have won the primary even more resoundingly.

LOL. Let me have my fun!

>>Not a single person found it odd that while Shane is from Southern Ireland and Graham is from Northern Ireland, it was obvious that they're good buddies on the golf course.
>>Several decades ago, their ancestors might have been on either side of barricades.
>>Things change if people let them.

The thing that cemented change in Ireland, was prosperity and jobs where the devil used to make work for idle hands. The young man with realistic prospects for a car by July and a bigscreen TV for ma and da by Christmas, hasn't got time or interest in making bombs or hating the man on the next street who works in the same place and does a good job when you're teamed with him.

Trump promises prosperity. Sometimes I wonder whether those who are automatically and implacably opposed to him, are aware of what they're saying about themselves, or who they sound like.

Yeah, I know, the usual response is that Hitler also promised and delivered prosperity. But Hitler lost the presidential election and was made chancellor via denial of due process, character assassination and blocking tactics that would be familiar to many in the swamp.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
