>>I posted a short list response to Kevin - maybe you didn't see it yet.

>>Moore was a leading proponent of the “birther” conspiracy theory

Some of Obama's own family said he was born in Africa. Were they racist too? In fact this all started because the president must be born in the US and Obama's own people and biography and then HRC, created uncertainty. Which was pounced on by people who wouildn't let go. Willfully stubborn partisanship maybe- but how is this racist?

>>Opposition to Muslim congressman’s Rep. Keith Ellison’s oath of office

Even if you ignore the context of his objection, Islam is not a race.

>>Saying "..“Now we have blacks and whites fighting, reds and yellows fighting, ..."

Here's the whole quote from which your piece was snipped: "You know that we were torn apart in the Civil War — brother against brother, North against South, party against party. What's changed? Now we've got blacks and whites fighting, reds and yellows fighting, Democrats and Republicans fighting, men and women fighting."

Is it the labels or the sentiment you call racist?

>>His strong opposition of Amendment 2, a ballot initiative that would have removed segregationist language from the state’s constitution.

Amendment 2 was to stop state park revenue being hoovered for other purposes afaics. If you mean Amendment 4, Moore's argument is that the Supreme Court has already declared segregation unconstitutional, so the amendment is moot. It's the same pedantic legalist style I commented on earlier. You or I would say "don't sweat the small stuff" and shrug this off- but he's not (yet) a swamp politician who would know to keep his powder dry rather than helping enemies trawling around for anything he does that can have negativity pinned on it.

>>Extensive ties to people who have been involved with neo-Confederate groups - this is a looong list and I'll leave it to you to look into that.

Can you please expand? If you mean Moore's donor Peroutka, I call your Peroutka and raise you Hillary's donor Weinstein.

>>There is this tweet -- https://twitter.com/MooreSenate/status/935917705730953219 -- Alabama, like a lot of states now, have enacted statutory reforms to allow some convicted felons to vote , which obviously affected the African-American community far more.

It's racist to object to felons being signed up to vote- because you say there are more black felons?!

In fact all but the worst felons always could register if they understood the definition of "moral turpitide" which few did until it was clarified in May. Personally I think if it's legal then it's legal and I'm surprised if Moore doesn't think so. I guess we'll find out in due course.

>>..etc etc etc etc.

Can you please expand?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
