>>A candidate should adhere to the separation of church and state.

Obviously I must know that to ask the question, yes?

>> If his/her personal beliefs differ, then they need to accept that church looses and the state wins.

So the First Amendment has been abolished? So if the state decrees that medical insurance must include contraception and the (celibate) Little Sisters of the Poor want insurance without contraception on religious grounds, tough luck for them?

FWIW, millions of Catholics and non-Catholics looked on approvingly when Trump met the Little Sisters to confirm that their first amendment rights were restored and the state's suits against them were ended.

>> We are not a theocracy. Moore is a religious lunatic though (which is another problem all together) - and don't ask me to find you example of that either.

I'm trying to ask straight questions. What is the connection between Moore and a theocracy?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
