Where did you get that straw man? My point was that for customers already needing to remote in, wider availability of RDC client means Windows Desktop apps need no longer be replaced by Rube Goldberg development for browser. That doesn't mean all apps should be Windows desktop apps, let alone VFP ones.
But like so many others who made their fortunes via websites, Amazon seems to prefer apps for mobile. The Android Amazon app has over 100 million downloads, offering functionality not available on mobile web.
