Correct. That's one of the many advantages of being naïve- we've never used anything that's been affected by browser changes - but I read about them all the time.
I develop in Eclipse, which runs my apps in IE on my desktop.
My user tester checks them out on the IPAD which uses the Apple browser.
Another desktop user checks them in Chrome and I test them in Edge.
Sounds like the Tower of Babel, doesn't it?
But it works.
