John,
You can have your DBC in any directory/drive you want, and you can have
the DBFs that are part of your DBC, also in any directory/drive you want.
Just right click in the database designer and choose NEW TABLE (or ADD
TABLE).
Michel.

>In our old DOS application I have a table of DBFs and their locations. Each DBF can be located on a seperate drive and directory. This is a turnkey package and we need to be able to set it up or changed it at the customer site quickly. As I look at at the way VFP works I can find no way do do this and still use the DBC and the form data envornment. I have not tried setting a path to each location but that would not be as exact as I would like and could get out of hand with as many DBFs as we use (65 - 90). I have been toying with the idea of opening each one myself with a procedure in the BEFORE OPEN TABLES EVENT where I currently create temp cursors.
