As Antonio pointed can use the standard vfp recurse folder for a kind of files here by extension).
i wrote this day a code to gather all supported medias in windows mediaplayer (serie 9) in a cursor.there is more 20 media files extensions.

it uses the getDetailOf function https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb787870(v=vs.85).aspx
the getdetailOf can return 35 info for each file (as maximum) and for any file not specifically media file.

*note in the Antonio code can use DurationString to retrieve the duration as hh:mm:ss (hour,minutes,seconds) .the duration retrieves a decimal number in seconds.

-can use manually the explorer to find files with wilcard extension and set the view as detail to see the informations for each file.
-if you have a specified folder can work as identical.
