>I agree. I am fighting a VFP internal construction issue. Plus, a dealing with Multiple Code CPU and the way Windows processes events (Delete/File access). Things can be deferred to other threads and priorities. Do to the fact that I am looking to optimize, the events maybe to quick/deferred in the single threaded notation of VFP to handle. When 9.0 was completed, the idea of it running on split processing that multiple-core was not an issue.
And while Fox runs single-thread, there's no guarantee that system calls will execute in that thread. I don't remember when was it when I first noticed that the file I'm trying to access is not closed yet, or not created yet, or not renamed yet. And that's only the deferred executions - who knows when I actually met something already done on the side and didn't notice it was done before I expected it.
