>>I'm sure you understand the difference between not reacting to an incoming missile alert vs a dirty toilet.

Maybe they're both what you'd expect of a sh*thole?

Sorry, couldn't resist. ;-)

>>Or do you think incoming missile alerts deserve no reaction from the nation's leader?

I think a screwed up emergency alert is a state management failure and a local (not national) embarrassment. So local (not national) leaders actually in the chain of command for such things, ought to front up.... as they did, with the governor calling a press conference midday Saturday to apologize and describe the investigations and improvements to follow.

IMHO it would have been undermining for Trump to precede the HI governor. Once your governor spoke, Trump's version was

“That was a state thing, but we are going to now get involved with them. I love that they took responsibility. They took total responsibility. But we are going to get involved. Their attitude and their — I think it is terrific. They took responsibility. They made a mistake."

Sounds to me like a man not wanting to pile on or prejudge investigations into how it happened. He's accentuating the positive/downplaying the negative for benefit of your state administration. This contrasts with federal officials already saying that HI didn't have proper safeguards for something as important as this. Which is why they're now stepping in.

>> I'm a tad confused on what it is your complaint is. Are you upset that the news agencies reported the news or something?

What complaint? I'm just laughing that people all around the world are now betting on which US MSM organ will be first to ridiculously convert stories into a hit on Trump. When even Chinese Media is calling out your MSM for bias, people need to wake up.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
