>>... (and frankly, describing something different) than Trump's vulgar statement. When he says what he has, it's very hard to make believe that he was merely "expressing diversity". It rather looks like relinquishing morality for tribal imperatives.

That's if he actually said it. Even if he did: Norway ranks first on the UN's Human Development Index while Haiti is 163rd, 25th from the bottom.

In fact, the first 9 countries on this UN list would qualify as "white" countries followed by Canada and USA. Whereas the bottom 25 are Haiti followed by some African places.

Were it Trump rather than the UN ranking nations like this, the accusations of racism would be audible in the next galaxy. What if Trump asserts he's merely reacting to these UN figures. Is he racist?

>>A few days ago, I happened to have clicked on the Google logo in honor of Har_Gobind_Khorana https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Har_Gobind_Khorana, and so I learned that he came from a poor family in a village in India/Pakistan, and he was given the opportunity of continuing his education in the West; became a Nobel prize laureate, and a recipient of the National Medal of Science for his work in biochemistry. >>Possibly, the gene therapy of the future is benefiting from his work.
>>There's a lot of people like Khorana, who came from less developed countries and who, given the opportunity, contribute immensely to the progress of society.

Of course- and this is familiar in science, where research on whimsical topics with no apparent commercial gain, suddenly discovers something that shakes the world.

But lets not forget that Har Gobind Khorana was an excellent scholar whose progress towards the US is a list of scholarships, fellowships and recognitions. This was an academic who came recommended by Oxbridge and European leaders. As an aside, India actually has the world's highest rate of open air defecations if people are looking for sh^thole nations, but one of the legacies of the Raj has been a strong civil service and educational thirst which helps deliver many Indians to greatness. Hence the predominance of Indians on special IT work visas. While Har Gobind Khorana would be an excellent immigrant on merit grounds wherever he hails from, it's a long stretch to assert that immigrants from Haiti must be accepted in case one of them is another Har Gobind Khorana.

>>The people of Norway have already comparable (if not better) opportunities in their country. What would entice them to come to the US

LOL, since Trump has already been given a big "no thanks" visa the Norwegian MSM!
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
