>>As you can see by the first two sentences what I've been saying is correct. Note:. ".... has no basis in fact,..." Thank you.

Yes, but you snipped out the word "often" from the first sentence. As well as the 7 types of fake news I cited, also out of the definition section.

Fake news is a neologism often used to refer to fabricated news. This type of news...

Use of the word "often" and standard grammar, means that the "this" in the second and subsequent sentences refers to "fabricated news." Which is just one of the seven types of fake news in the same definition section. And not the most frequent: AFAICS, "false content" fake news with faulty context is far more prevalent in the MSM.

See what you did? You snipped a word to alter meaning, then you pretended I disagreed with the definition of "fabricated news" , then you pretended the 6 other types of fake news in the definition section don't exist... AND you ignored all of today's context referring to "false content" fake news which is the MSM's favorite.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
