Thanks for the advise. I have never encountered a installation as complex, and requiring manual steps.

I had to search my computer because there were multiple copies of the old files in places like the Windows\System32 folder etc and I had to remove them all. So my advice would be to do a thorough search for these files. Chen's compiler also copies the VFP files into its own sub-folders so it might be that you have the wrong ones in those folders if you installed VFPA before the hotfix.
