Well, right now, Trump has Schummer and the Ds in a box. The only way they'll get protection for the Dreamers is by agreeing to fund the wall (though I still don't know if it will ever get built)

You can blame Trump for using the Dreamers as political bargaining. But you can also blame Obama for giving the Dreamers a lifeline that wasn't attached to actual legislation - some analysts predicted this day would come.
