>>He talked about MS13 as the reason we need to be tough on ALL immigration - which was the very point he was trying to make

SOTU: "For decades, open borders have allowed drugs and gangs to pour into our most vulnerable communities. They have allowed millions of low-wage workers to compete for jobs and wages against the poorest Americans. Most tragically, they have caused the loss of many innocent lives."

Note the reference to "open" borders. There's no such distinction for *legal* immigrants. He's talking about illegal immigrants taking advantage of laxity at the border. Which is why he wants a wall- not to keep out *legal* immigrants who aren't affected by a wall.

As for M13: this week Sessions reported that DOJ had secured convictions against "nearly 500 human traffickers and 1,200 gang members" and that US authorities worked with "our international allies to arrest or charge more than 4,000 MS-13 members... tThey know that hundreds of their members are now behind bars, so now they’re trying to send younger and more violent gang members to the United States to replenish their depleted ranks."

Fast forward to SOTU: "These two precious girls were brutally murdered while walking together in their hometown. Six members of the savage gang MS-13 have been charged with Kayla and Nisa's murders. Many of these gang members took advantage of glaring loopholes in our laws to enter the country as unaccompanied alien minors and wound up in Kayla and Nisa's high school."

How is that a reference to "all" migration? Clearly he's referring to criminal gangs using loopholes to send violent crims to replenish their ranks. He wants to close the loop holes. Why wouldn't you agree?

>>Trump flip flops etc etc

Sheesh, lets just wait and see. BTW, I see the latest poll has approval of the tax cuts now at 44% for and 44% against. What do you think of that trajectory?
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
