I agree with you, this has always been very serious.
I bank with Wells Fargo, and have considered pulling out from them. Only reason I haven't is that I've had the same account number since 1992. I used to bank with Meridian, which became Core States, then First Union, then Wachovia, then Wells Fargo. I get certain benefits from them that I'm not sure I'd get with other places (for instance, no matter how large a check I deposit, all the funds are available immediately)
