Yes, I do separate the emails with a semicolon.
As to BCC, I can't in this case because the customer is choosing to enter two emails in the field. And he expects that both email addresses will receive the email. And I am trying to duplicate on my PC. If I enter two emails, separating them with a semicolon, neither one gets email. Thus, it does not work on my computer either.
