>>The statue is clearly directed at direct or indirect payments or reimbursements that be assigned a monetary value.
It's in line with international anti-corruption mechanisms. We amateurs can argue over whether information about HRC's illegal dealings with Russians is a thing of value to Trump -which it obviously is in lay terms but possibly not in legal terms.
There's also the question of the meeting. Why did they meet- why wasn't the information simply transmitted? Could Trump JR have been trying to collude with somebody he thought was an agent of the Kremlin?
We can't know, because it's not in writing and it turned out she had no information, didn't know she was supposed to have such information, had tenuous connections to the Kremlin- and wanted to talk about adoption.
No need for such niceties wrt the pee pee dossier: if funded by HRC and the DNC then they broke the law, period.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
