You can try changing that in the Services, so IIS can interact with the Desktop, and also check which user is running the Service. You maybe very close to what is causing the problem. I have 3 ASP.NET applications, exactly the same on 3 different Site on the same VM server. Two work and one does not. I thought that all three sites were installed in the identical matter (and I have checked it many times). But I will double check to see if the "faulty" one is running as a service (which it should not). Strange is that the "faulty" ASP.NET can call the application that writes to the folder but the Printing is lost (without error).
