The problem that you are experiencing is most likely due to the fact that you have an older OLEAUT32.DLL file. This happened to me over 2 years ago when I upgraded clients from VFP 3.0 apps to VFP 5.0 apps. They only had the runtime. MS did not know at the time but it was later found that they had the older OLEAUT32.DLL files. It had nothing to do with the VFP500.DLL files.
