>>Meanwhile, when he CAN do something - all he's done is sign a bill blocking Obama-era background checks on guns for people with mental illnesses.

Elsewhere you said the other stuff is all over the MSM- so why do you regurgitate a lie about "all he's done?"

Even the fault you attribute to him- failing to veto Congress's action- is a lie.

Because in real life, the law already requires notification of anybody adjudicated as a "mental defective" (which is a dreadful term, but OK) or has been committed to a mental institution.

Congress overturned Obama's proposed rule that required the SSA to add the names of people unable to manage their disability benefits because of mental impairments.

The original law stands. You can't rely on the biased Snopes when 3 things are perfectly clear:

1) People with mental illness still can't buy firearms see Title 18 section 922(g).

2) Not all mental defectives are on disability benefits and those who need help because of mental impairment are not necessarily mentally ill as you insist.

3) Unless you can produce evidence that people needing help with disability benefits are conducting firearm crime, this sort of discrimination appears to breach the 4th Amendment that requires due cause or evidence of danger.

The implicit dishonesty in these paraphrases you habitually parrot, is anti-intellectual and anti-democratic.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
