...and we know that. I can also make any recording with my phone (a Nokia E5 with Symbian), or for that matter, any of phones in the family. And the sound quality is great, I've often made rather good recordings of street music, concerts in public or tavern bands.

However I can't make a recording of my own calls. Not even in Skype anymore, the old mp3skype by Aleksej Nikiforov can't plug into current versions.

If those phones are more powerful than any bank's computers as of just 20 years ago, how come they can't do this? They can shoot videos with stereo sound, can play them, can play games requiring serious power, have GPS... and yet can't record the calls they make?
